Snout Only Units

Snout Only Units are special solutions for animals larger than rodents. Test substance administration is possible by using face masks of different sizes. The units are designed for optimal flow rates.

Depending on the technical design, the units can be used for the application of liquid or dust aerosols, or vapors. Appropriate components such as chemically resistant seals can be provided according to the test substance.

A special installation kit enables their use with aerosol and vapor generators, exhaust lines and sampling equipment.

Appropriate restraining devices for different animal species are available.

  • Standard versions made of stainless steel and appropriate sealing materials
  • Spatial separation of fresh and exhaled air – minimal rebreathing of exhaled air
  • Central aerosol administration via appropriate preconditioning units as standard
  • Sample ports and sensor connections in both the upper and lower unit
  • Upper unit removable for better cleaning and transport
